Work with KCE’s regulatory, markets, and development teams on energy policy advocacy strategies in target markets to determine how utility regulation, state policies, wholesale market rules, and political developments will impact the organization’s business goals and the energy storage sector as a whole.


  1. Policy, market, and regulatory analysis at the Independent System Operatior , state, and federal level 
  1. Drafting advocacy documents including pleadings, testimony, white papers, and one-pagers 
  1. Covering national and regional coalitions and trade associations to advance storage policy broadly (New York Battery & Energy Storage Technology (“NY-BEST”), etc.) 
  1. Monitoring and advocating for storage policy in various arenas (legislative, public utility commission, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, etc.) 
  1. Organizing and maintaining ongoing policy/regulatory trackers of storage activity in jurisdictions of interest 
  1. Creating, editing, and reviewing PowerPoint presentations 
  1. Supporting all other KCE efforts on a special projects basis, including development, markets, and operations 
  1. Other duties as required 


  1. Knowledge of energy policy issues 
  1. Demonstrated experience in project management and working on project teams 
  1. Excellent written and communication skills 
  1. Experience preparing and delivering testimony a plus 
  1. Experience with stakeholder processes 
  1. Very motivated and pro-active self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills 
  1. Attention to detail 
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
