POSITION PURPOSE

Key Capture Energy is currently seeking a student assistant with experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to work with our Development Team under the direct supervision of our GIS project manager for the Fall 2021 semester.

This internship is a rare opportunity to gain career-making GIS experience and training as well as advanced exposure to the Energy Sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Create maps and layouts
  2. Assist in prospecting and development projects
  3. Complete various editing functions within GIS software
  4. Assist in Energy Sector research
  5. Be able to understand and interpret land surveys and engineering designs
  6. Assist team and project leads as directed
  7. Perform spatial and data queries
  8. Interact effectively in-person, by electronic communication and by telephone
  9. Work independently with minimal supervision
  10. Contribute to a positive work environment
  11. Perform other duties as assigned

WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Certificate, or Master’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related field.
  2. Preferred experience in ArcGIS Desktop editing, ArcGIS ModelBuilder, Python and AutoCAD
  3. Should be eager to learn and motivated by creating a more resilient and cleaner grid.
  4. Strong organizational and time-management skills
