POSITION PURPOSE:
Key Capture Energy is seeking an MBA (paid) intern to work within our Project Finance team who will support with developing and maintaining financial models used by KCE’s development and RFP teams to make decisions on pricing and investments. The position may also work with Key Capture Energy’s Finance group on acquisitions and divestitures, asset financing, and other financial analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with gathering financial model inputs and assumptions for mid-to-late stage energy storage development projects to support stage gate analysis, and PPA and structured products analysis.
• Support development and RFP processes through analysis of economic impact of key terms and conditions and sensitivity analysis.
• Work closely with other KCE Departments to guide projects through approval processes
• Support economic analysis of project financing and M&A.
• Collaborate with KCE investors on financial models and assumptions.
WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
• Expertise in Excel financial modeling, experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
• 2+ years work experience in financial modeling
• Current MBA student who will be entering the second year of [his/her/their] program at a top-tier graduate business school in the fall of 2023
• Bachelor’s in business, economics, engineering or related disciplines
• Extensive technical knowledge of financial/cost performance
• Collaborate with commercial team on short and long-term power market strategy
