KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & PURPOSE OF POSITION

POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to work on specific energy storage development, overall systems to support development efforts, and additional tasks as required. The development projects will involve work on land acquisitions, permitting with state and local authorities, interconnection studies with regulators, and coordination of consultants for the processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support energy storage project development efforts.
2. Market research of competitors within New York.
3. Review project sites for suitability.
4. Coordinate and ensure proper legal filings for land acquisition.
5. Review and assist in local and state level permitting including environmental assessment.
6. Review and assist in electrical interconnection processes with regulators.
7. Develop tools and methods to assist in project development efforts.
8. Assist with preparation of public materials (PowerPoints, blog posts, LinkedIn posts, etc.)
9. Other duties as required
   

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
2. Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Primavera
3. Experience with Geographic Information Systems
4. Prior work or academic interest in energy or a technical field; ability to understand and communicate technical issues
5. Very motivated self-starter
6. Comfortable learning and administering new software tools
