KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & PURPOSE OF POSITION:

POSITION PURPOSE:

Employees in this role will support the Commercial team in all commercial activities for BESS projects, with an emphasis on providing support on RFPs, power marketing transactions and complex financial modeling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Track, manage, prepare and draft RFP responses.
2. Coordinate with internal departments involved in the RFP including Development, Construction, Analytics, Market Operations, Regulatory and Legal to ensure all required inputs are collected and vetted.
3. Stay abreast of state and federal market incentives including broader regulatory and public policy considerations affecting battery storage technology.
4. Gather competitive intelligence and conduct competitive analyses for KCE’s pipeline projects.
5. Maintain database and manage the storing of final RFP proposals and documentation.
6. Research RFP prospects and processes in markets in which KCE is not currently active to identify new market opportunities and provide that market intelligence to the Commercial team.
7. Draft proposals and pitch materials for various commercial activities.
8. Manage commercial RFP documents across all projects.
9. Other duties as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 1-2 years of knowledge and experience in power marketing and transactions.
2. Demonstrated understanding of U.S. power markets.
3. Working knowledge of utility-scale energy storage.
4. Understanding of project finance, project development and asset optimization.
5. Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills.
6. Ability to work in a small team.
7. Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and acquire executive-level buy-in for commercial efforts
