This position within the Market Operations team will be responsible for leading KCE’s team of software developers in the development of new software to optimize battery energy storage facility operations. They will focus on the development of processes and systems to support a growing energy storage company’s operations.


  1. Lead team of software developers responsible for the development of new software, including data intake and parsing, internal and external websites, and database solutions supporting large scale analytical models used to optimize battery energy storage facility operations.
  2. Focus on development of processes and systems to support growing energy storage company’s operations and mentorship of direct reports.
  3. Conduct hands on software development of new code to advance KCE’s data processing, intake systems, and analytical tools. 
  4. Manage multiple direct software developer reports
  5. All other duties as required.  


  1. Bachelors or Masters in a technical field.
  2. 4-6+ years of software development experience supporting energy market analysis, energy asset operations, or energy market participation.
  3. Preferably work on large scale data parsing (ETL/ELT systems), management of energy market data, system architecture and development of internal/external web systems and applications. 
  4. Experience in a team lead role or managerial role and familiar with leading Software Development Lifecyle processes.
  5. Experience with Azure Cloud Services, Python and Microsoft SQL Server a plus.
  6. Education background in computer science a plus.
