With more than two decades of distributed fuel cell and utility scale battery storage product development, Ken leads Key Capture Energy’s Technology and Field Operations teams. He integrates learning, experience, and state of the art storage technology within the Development, Engineering, Construction, and Market Operations groups. His team ensures safety, extensibility, and operational flexibility are delivered to the projects from field operations to the selection of energy storage partners.
Prior to joining Key Capture Energy, Ken was Chief Engineer at General Electric. Ken led design reviews for GE Energy Storage groups and was the architect of the GE Reservoir focusing on Battery, Battery Protection Unit, and Enclosure. While at GE, Ken also served as the Senior Manager where he worked to drive corporate strategy in energy storage product management, technology, and integration. In this role, Ken also worked to hybridize GE’s Power, Renewable, Transportation, and Aviation portfolios. Before his work at GE, Ken spent 13 years at Plug Power, where in the last six years he served as the manager of Fuel Cell Stack and led a team of 20 engineers, technicians, and scientists.
Ken is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Controls and Electrochemistry.
